Cross the Finish Line with Pool Finishes

pool finishes

This concrete pool structure is just begging to be finished — but with what material?

Whether you have a brand new pool for the spring season that needs some finishing touches, or have opened up your existing pool to find a worn down and deteriorated surface, we’re here to help. No matter the reason, fresh pool finishes are great for protecting the investment you made in your pool and breathing new life into your backyard oasis. If you’re coming down the home stretch on a pool installation or renovation project, here’s our advice on choosing between the three pool finishes we offer.

Plaster Pool Finishes

Plaster is the optimal choice for straightforward simplicity. Typically white in color, but available otherwise, plaster’s main benefits come in its smoothness. Tried and true, it won’t rough up your sensitive feet, and it won’t rough up your bank account either. If you’re looking to get a remarkably blue, glimmering appearance for your pool, tinted plaster can help you achieve that. While its shorter lifespan (6-8 years) might be seen by some as a drawback, we see it as a positive because it gives you an excuse to refresh the looks of your pool more often.

Quartzite Pool Finishes

Quartzite finishes are fantastic for aesthetics and feel. The tiny pieces of quartz incorporated in the material will sparkle and shine in the already-luminous water, and refracts many different colors of light. (Think about how amazing that will look when you turn on your pool lights!) Even better, quartzite pool finishes feel like sand, so you can trick yourself into thinking your oasis is somewhere other than your backyard. These finishes will last 8-10 years.

Pebble Tec Pool Finishes

Born in Australia, Pebble Technology is the brand name for a pool finish that’s made from an aggregate of pebbles and other binding materials. Pebble Tec uses pebbles and stones from around the world, while Pebble Fina is made of crushed seashells, Pebble Sheen fuses tiny pebbles together, and BeadCrete is composed of glass beads that bring true uniqueness and luminance to your pool finish. Pebble Technology’s finishes will last from 10-15 years. Click here for a Pebble Tec brochure.
